Stanley Park Ecology is a volunteer based organization providing education, research, and conservation rooted in Stanley Park.
We are seeking a postsecondary student to join as a member of our Board of Directors. The objectives of this position are to introduce the student Board Member to the way the Board functions and to obtain a youth perspective on the various Board deliberations. The position will be of particular interest to a student with career interests in the fields of environmental conservation and/or education.
The person will be a full member of the Board, with all attendant rights and responsibilities, and will serve for a one year term.
Directors are asked to attend eight scheduled meetings per year and serve on one of the Board’s standing committees: Governance, Finance, Reconciliation, and People (Human Resources).
Directors are expected to:
- Maintain an active membership.
- Commit to the work of Stanley Park Ecology.
- Attend Board and appropriate Board committee meetings.
- Become fully informed about Stanley Park Ecology’s mission and governance as well as its organizational matters.
- Attend the Annual General Meeting.

Stanley Park Ecology is a registered charitable organization, incorporated in 1988 and governed under the B.C. Societies Act.
