IN-PERSON PROGRAM

This Earth Day, connect with nature with the whole family! As part of our Stanley Park Earth Day celebration, join our Family Forest Walk, where we’ll explore the forest ecosystem and learn about the plants and animals who live there. Come along as we engage our senses and listen for the calls of nearby birds, feel the textures of the forest, and use magnifiers to get an up-close look at the hidden life around us.

Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult (19+) for the duration of the program. The program is aimed at families with children approximately aged 5-12, but all ages are welcome.

Please note: Some ticket spots are available to sign up ahead of time while others are reserved for drop-ins. On the event day, please check in 15 minutes before the program start time to confirm your spot, and the remaining spaces will be released to those waiting to join.

Please feel free to join us at 11:00 am for our Stanley Park Earth Day event opening and and land welcome, with Talaysay Campo of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Shíshálh (Sechelt) Nations.

The land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh), and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
