IN-PERSON KIDS AND FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RESTORATION
Spread the word – invasive plants are here and we can help keep them at bay! Did you know that many introduced plants out-compete native species and threaten biodiversity? Join SPES educators to learn how to identify invasive ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and … (other plant we’ll see at this time of year)! Find out answers to questions like “what exactly is an invasive species?” and “why are they harmful to Stanley Park?” Through games, exploring and pulling out ivy, we’ll soon be experts on these introduced invaders!
ABOUT CRITTER CLUB
Do you know any children captivated by creatures? Good news! In-person Critter Clubs will run on a monthly basis from November ‘till March. Our Critter Club online series is also a great place for kids to connect with each other and their local ecology. Check out our online Critter Club series here.
Critter Club offers young minds a place to grow their curiosity, meet other like-minded children, and have fun!
We welcome youth outside the suggested age range (younger participants should be accompanied by an adult to help with tech support) but programming will be designed for 9–13-year-olds.
This program will meet at the Stanley Park Bus Loop (located between the Stanley Park Railway and the Stanley Park Dining Pavilion). Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the program.

*Tickets must be purchased in advance. Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale, to keep them accessible to more people – you choose what you can afford! As a non-profit that subsidizes our programs for increased accessibility, your contributions make a huge difference in being able to offer our services for the years to come.
