Wigeons and Waddles: Duck Walk

If you’ve been around the waters of Stanley Park, you’ve likely noticed the hundreds (and often thousands!) of wigeons gathered nearby. This time of year, many ducks and other water birds arrive to our region during the fall migration period, and it’s a great time to dive into birding and get to know these diverse and charming feathered friends. Birds of a Feather: Winter Wings

Each fall and winter, thousands of birds arrive here from northern or interior summer ranges. Filling our waters, forests, and skies with vibrant feathers and fun calls and quacks, the cold season birds are always a pleasure to witness and get to know. Join local birder Kim for a relaxed interpretive outing, with the pace set by participants and tailored to the group’s speed. No experience required, just bring your curiosity!
