Charismatic and majestic, Pacific Great Blue Herons are some of the largest and most distinctive birds in North America. Through donors, stewardship, monitoring and education, Stanley Park Ecology helps support and sustain these incredible birds that have been nesting in Stanley Park for 100 years! This time of year, the herons have left their nests and are heading to their nearby winter feeding grounds, and we can reflect on the summer they’ve all had.
