Rebekah joined the SPES team in May 2024. Having grown up in rural towns throughout BC, she developed a deep appreciation for collective and individual care of local ecosystems. During her Bachelor’s degree at Summit Pacific College, she majored in Not-for-Profit Leadership and undertook work experiences thereafter with organizations such as the Invasive Species Council of BC and others in fundraising and development, communications, youth advocacy, event programming, outdoor education, and environmental stewardship. She is passionate about rallying collaborative support for projects that protect local ecosystems and make change happen for the benefit of people and planet. With a love for engaging communities with wild spaces, Rebekah is looking forward to applying her skillset and learnings toward SPES’ mission!
