Raunaq Nambiar
Raunaq is a graduate of the natural resource conservation program at UBC, and is passionate about sustainable policy-making, governance, and improving the accessibility of green spaces and public transit. Growing up in Mumbai, India, his passion for conservation began at a young age when watching David Attenborough's documentaries. He has since followed his passion and worked with various stakeholders in conservation, from Parks Canada to research labs at UBC and with SPES as an EcoStewards and DIRT program volunteer.
On the SPES board, as a student member, he hopes to gain valuable insights into the operations of a large non-profit, and to bring his perspectives as a student into the decision making process at SPES.
