If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM \n\n\n\nIf you’ve been around the waters of Stanley Park\, you’ve likely noticed the hundreds (and often thousands!) of wigeons gathered at Lost Lagoon and the seawall. This time of year\, many ducks and other water birds arrive to our region during the fall migration period\, and it’s a great time to dive into birding and get to know these diverse and charming feathered friends. Join SPE Nature House Educator\, avid birder\, and photographer Frank Lin for a stroll around the nearby waters to appreciate the quacks and splashes of the autumn season.  \n\n\n\nNo birding experience required\, just bring your curiosity! \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS  \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will move at a slow to moderate pace with a couple moderate inclines on some uneven surfaces (mostly packed gravel and pavement) for up to 1.5 hours\, near Lost Lagoon and possibly the seawall near Second Beach. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca       \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Street\, under the viewing platform facing the Lagoon). Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in.    \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy  – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled\, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.   \n\n\n\n(4) Program Waitlist – Program full? Sign up here to be notified if a spot opens up. We also have a monthly events newsletter that you can subscribe to here. \n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\nThe land on which we gather is the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm)\, Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh)\, and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
