Role Description
Join SPES at the Vancouver Triathlon! SPES has been selected as a partner organization for this year’s Vancouver Triathlon, and we need your help to make it a success! We’re building a team of enthusiastic volunteers to support the water stations located throughout beautiful Stanley Park. This is a great opportunity to engage with athletes, contribute to a major event in our community, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the triathlon. If you have great customer service skills and a passion for helping others, we would love to have you on our team!
Duties
As a Hydration Station Monitor, volunteers will:
- Assist with the set-up and take-down of the Hydration Stations;
- Fill and hand out cups;
- Ensure the area is kept clean and waste is properly disposed of;
- Communicate with athletes, utilizing customer service skills.
Time Commitment
This is a one-day volunteer opportunity.
The Vancouver Triathlon takes place on Monday, September 2nd.
We are looking for volunteers to commit to a shift between 6:00am-11:30am.
Location
Hydration Station volunteering will be taking place in-person in Stanley Park.
Requirements
- Be 16 years of age or older, or volunteer with a parent or guardian present.
