IN-PERSON PROGRAM
Take a stroll through the forest and explore the hidden textures and patterns all around us! With the use of 10x magnification hand lenses and through texture exploration, we’ll take a closer look at forest residents such as intricate mosses, scaly liverworts, insect specimens, and more. Join us for a guided nature walk to uncover the hidden world that is often overlooked as we travel through forest trails in Stanley Park.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Meeting Location: Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located underneath the Lost Lagoon viewing platform near the intersection of Chilco and Alberni Streets): https://maps.app.goo.gl/MJVLWV2NEqGnF7U98
We will then proceed to nearby forest trails such as Tatlow Walk.
Accessibility notes: This program will move at a moderate pace with a few inclines on some uneven surfaces around Lost Lagoon and nearby forest trails for up to 1.5 hours. If you have any questions about accessibility, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca

Terms and Conditions
(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED. Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.
(2) Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.
(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat. We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.

The land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
