SUMMARY:Trees of Stanley Park
DESCRIPTION:Get Tickets\n Problems using the ticket form below? You can also get tickets here. \n SPES uses the Zeffy platform to process payments\, so your entire purchase goes to us. If you’d like to help Zeffy keep running its services\, you can choose to tip them. If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nCome along and get acquainted with the trees of Stanley Park! From the towering giants above us to the sweet-smelling branches we walk underneath\, we’ll immerse ourselves in the world of Stanley Park’s trees. Join Elliot Bellis to learn about some of the most common trees in our city\, how to identify them\, and how to support our forests in a changing climate.  \n\n\n\nLEADER BIO \n\n\n\nElliot Bellis is currently a Landscape Architect master’s student at the University of British Columbia with a background as an urban forester and arborist. He enjoys connecting people with trees and is happy to answer any curiosities you have about urban forestry. You can learn more about plants\, trees\, and other debris in urban areas on his educational Instagram platform: @urban.ecologist.  \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program requires moving at a moderate pace with moderate inclines on some uneven surfaces (such as gravel and pavement). If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca       \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Street\, underneath the viewing platform). Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in.   (1) (2) (3) (4) \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay!        \n\n\n\n(2) Weather dependent - Please check your email 12 hours before the program date and time to confirm it has not been cancelled due to inclement weather such as high winds\, heavy rain\, or extreme heat.       \n\n\n\n(3) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time?   Sign up here to be notified when the program runs in the future.         \n\n\n\n(4) Cancellation policy – We refund cancellations due to illness to keep everyone healthy\, but the number of recent cancellations is impacting our capacity to run these programs. If you must cancel\, please let us know if you need a refund or if you are able to help us offer affordable programs for the public by donating your registration fee. (This is one way we can all subsidize programs in this changing economic climate and ensure these programs are available on a sliding scale.)   \n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\nWe gratefully acknowledge that the land on which we gather and help steward is the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam)\, Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation\, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Since time immemorial\, Coast Salish peoples have lived reciprocally with the land\, harvesting and cultivating foods and medicines and practicing ceremony. The abundance of these lands and waters\, which enables us to live\, work\, and play here today\, is a result of the past and on-going stewardship and advocacy of the Coast Salish peoples.
