SUMMARY:Tree Swallow Nest Box Building with Vancouver Tool Library
DESCRIPTION:IN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nJoin SPES and Vancouver Tool Library for a hands-on birdhouse-building event on World Migratory Bird Day! Learn about the design and placement considerations for birdhouse building\, and build your own Tree Swallow nest box. Registration fee covers the cost of materials for one nest box.  \n\n\n\nTo participate\, youth ages 12+ require adult supervision\, and those who are 18+ may attend by themselves.   \n\n\n\nAbout Vancouver Tool Library:  \n\n\n\nThe Vancouver Tool Library (VTL) is a cooperative tool-lending library located at 3448 Commercial Street. The tool library loans a wide variety of tools for home repair\, gardening\, and bicycle maintenance\, as well as a range of affordable workshops on tool-related skills and projects. https://vancouvertoollibrary.com \n\n\n\n  Get Tickets\n  Problems using the ticket form below? The workshop involves hands-on activities including using tools like hammers\, screws\, and nails. Participants in the workshop with sit\, stand\, bend\, and work with wood and tools for up to 2 hours. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Chris at outreach@stanleyparkecology.ca  \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Street\, underneath the viewing platform).
