If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM \n\n\n\nAs you wander the trails of local coastal forests\, do you recognize the trees towering above\, and the plants trailing your feet? Join us for a stroll through the forest to get to know the common trees and forest plants of our region\, including the fascinating life of ferns and the importance of mosses! From spore catapults to hidden bats in bark\, we’ll learn about some native plants and forest ecology on this beginner-friendly nature walk. \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will move at a gentle to moderate pace with frequent stops\, over mostly flat trails with some uphill travel at the end. It is mostly packed gravel surfaces along South Creek Trail and Beaver Lake Trail. The path to access South Creek Trail from the meeting point includes two small sets of stairs\, but can easily be rerouted to avoid stairs if needed. The path back towards the Rose Garden is uphill along Pipeline Rd at the end of the program. If you have any questions or input about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca     \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Stanley Park Rose Garden\, where the concrete pathways converge. See meeting location here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/o664N4aPSpD78eGF8 Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in.   \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy  – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
