If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM \n\n\n\nCelebrate Ocean Week (June 1-8) in Stanley Park! In this free hands-on intro session with Water Rangers\, participants get to try a suite of water testing tools used by community scientists monitoring lakes\, rivers\, and ocean sites across Canada. We’ll measure dissolved oxygen\, air and water temperature\, water clarity using a Secchi disc\, and key chemical parameters including pH\, hardness\, nitrate\, and nitrite using test strips including a salinity meter to explore what makes marine and freshwater environments so distinct. From lakes and rivers to ocean shorelines\, we work with Indigenous communities\, watershed groups\, schools\, and volunteers across Canada to help people answer the question that matters most: is my water healthy? \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS  \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will take place on the beach\, which is accessed via a somewhat steep ramp from the seawall. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca       \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Lumberman’s Arch Public Washrooms. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in.    \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required -  This is a free program! Limited drop-in spots may be available. \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy  – Please let us know if you can no longer make it so we can offer the spot to someone else! \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine.
