If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nEver wondered about the colourful blooms and juicy berries that mark the sweet-smelling summer season? The nearby native plants are full of life during these warm months\, showing off their bright buds\, soft leaves\, and shiny fruits as they support countless insects\, birds\, and other animals in the Park. Join SPE educator Julia for a stroll to learn about local wildflowers and summer berries in Stanley Park and their role in the ecosystem — no prior plant ID skills necessary! We’ll learn about salmonberry\, twinberry honeysuckle\, snowberry\, red elderberry\, and more!  \n\n\n\nNote: We will not be harvesting or tasting any berries on this walk\, as no non-Indigenous harvesting/foraging is allowed in Stanley Park. \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS        \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program requires moving at a moderate pace with moderate inclines on some uneven surfaces around Lost Lagoon (such as gravel and pavement) for up to 1.5 hours. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Street\, underneath the viewing platform). Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in.    \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled\, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.   \n\n\n\n(4) Program Availability – Program full? Sign up here to be notified if a spot opens up. We also have a monthly events newsletter that you can subscribe to here. \n\n\n\nThe land on which we gather is the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam)\, Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish)\, and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
