IN-PERSON WORKSHOP
Join our nest box-building work party to support local birds in Stanley Park! You’ll help assemble wooden nest boxes that provide safe homes for cavity‑nesting species, while learning how birds like tree swallows, violet-green swallows, and wood ducks use these shelters across the Park. This program is just in time for nesting season and we’ll be placing the built nest boxes into habitats at Lost Lagoon and Beaver Lake!
Please note:
- Please bring your own hammer, if you have one (we will have some, but not enough for everyone)
- Ages 18+
- Refreshments provided!
PROGRAM DETAILS
Accessibility notes: This program is located at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon, which can be close-quarters, and we will be using tools like hammers and nails, as well as wood glue. If you have any questions about accessibility, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca
This program will be held at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon. There is a washroom available in the Nature House.
