If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON WORKSHOP \n\n\n\nLearn how to turn English Ivy\, Red Canary Grass\, Tansy\, Creeping Buttercup\, and other invasive plants into paper! We’ll then cut the paper and attach a cordage tassel to create bookmarks. Join for an evening of learning about the impacts of common invasive plants of the Lower Mainland and Stanley Park along with how to identify these species. \n\n\n\nLEADER BIO \n\n\n\nJoshua Ralph is a settler-occupier of Scottish\, English\, French\, and Métis ancestry from Treaty 2 Territory. They are a community-engaged media and eco-artist interested in changed and changing ecologies\, whose work resides at the intersection of “nature” and creative outputs. He has been recognized in publications such as The National Observer and guest spoken at universities such as UBC and Concordia on his ongoing environmental projects.  \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will take place indoors while seated on the second floor which is unfortunately only accessible by stairs. If you have any questions or input about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca     \n\n\n\nThis program will take place at the Stanley Park Pavilion at the Stanley Park Ecology office (610 Pipeline Rd) on the second floor in the Salmonberry Room. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check-in. \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 14 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled\, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.   \n\n\n\n(4) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time?   Sign up here to be notified if spots open for registration. We also have a monthly events newsletter that you can subscribe to here. \n\n\n\nThe land on which we gather is the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm)\, Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh)\, and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
