ONLINE PROGRAM
Charismatic and majestic, Pacific Great Blue Herons are some of the largest and most distinctive birds in North America. Through donors, stewardship, monitoring and education, SPES helps support and sustain these incredible birds which have been nesting in Stanley Park for more than 20 years! This time of year, the herons have left their nests and are starting to go to their winter feeding grounds, and we can reflect on the summer they’ve all had. Learn about this unique urban colony with Urban Wildlife Programs Coordinator Rose Wilkin who will be discussing highlights from the 2024 heron season and exploring how this year compares to previous seasons here in the Park.

*Tickets must be purchased in advance. Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay! Your contributions help us bring you more online programs like this one! Ticket sales close 30 minutes before the start of the program.
**This program will take place on Zoom, so please make sure you have Zoom downloaded well in advance of the webinar. A Zoom link can be found within your confirmation email and will also be sent the day before the start of the program. Only one ticket required per household.
*** Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.
