In this beginner-friendly art workshop led by local glass artist Debbie Hungle\, participants will get to create a nature-inspired glass design using cut pieces of glass and mosaic techniques. Choose from a wide selection of bases — from birds to insects to plants and more — to create your ornament\, coaster\, paperweight\, or glass display piece. \n\n\n\nThe glass pieces will be taken to be fired in the kiln\, and participants can expect to collect their finished pieces starting about a week after the workshop. \n\n\n\nRecommended for ages 10+ (with supervision) and adults.  \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will take place indoors while seated on the second floor which is unfortunately only accessible by stairs. If you have any questions or input about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca     \n\n\n\nThis program will take place at the Stanley Park Pavilion at the Stanley Park Ecology office (610 Pipeline Rd) on the second floor in the Salmonberry Room. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check-in. \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 14 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
