Led by Stanley Park Ecology Educator Julia Taylor\, we will delve into the fascinating adaptations these species have developed to survive snow\, frost\, and relatively limited sunlight. Discover the hidden ecosystems that flourish beneath a blanket of snow\, and gain insight into the crucial roles these plants play in forest ecology! \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program requires moving at a slow-moderate pace with a few inclines along South Creek Trail\, Beaver Lake Trail\, and Pipeline Road. We may venture just off trail on uneven terrain such as tree roots and gravel paths for almost 2 hours. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Julia at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca  \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Rock Garden between the Stanley Park Pavilion and the Malkin Bowl. See on map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/56jRBvpZuxYs4gZA6 \n\n\n\nPlease arrive 5-10 minutes early to locate the meeting location and check in. \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
