Floating Islands Planting Event

Come join us for a special planting event where we will be installing floating vegetation islands in Lost Lagoon. These are islands are being installed as part of pilot project to help improve Lost Lagoon’s water quality and increase wildlife habitat in the lagoon. Help us contribute to habitat conservation and restoration, and preserve the biodiversity in Stanley Park. SPES staff will teach the techniques and provide the tools needed for planting. This project was undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada through the federal Department of Environment and Climate Change, the Vancouver Park Board, the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation. Register Here.
