If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nWhen we go outside there are countless relationships\, systems\, reactions\, and adaptions happening in the nature surrounding us. How do you personally understand and appreciate nature? Join SPES volunteer\, author\, naturalist and professor of natural history\, Roy Jantzen on a walk about interconnections between the plants\, fungi\, birds\, mammals\, and insects that we may encounter on our journey. An example may be a Pileated Woodpecker that in feeding creates nest sites for birds\, while transplanting fungal spores from tree to tree. This 2.5 hour outing is planned as a collaborative discussion and identification walk so please consider sharing a favourite local natural world connection that surprises or intrigues you.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS   \n\n\n\nAccessibility note: This program requires moving at a moderate pace with moderate inclines on some uneven surfaces such as gravel and pavement) for up to 2.5 hours through Lost Lagoon\, forest trails\, Beaver Lake\, and possibly the seawall. This is an open-ended route\, meaning that the route will be chosen as we start. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email Anna at publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca  \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Street\, underneath the viewing platform). Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete a health check.  (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)  \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n Terms and conditions  \n\n\n\n(1) COVID-19 protocols – By purchasing a ticket\, you are confirming you agree to filling out this health check on the day of your program.  \n\n\n\n    \n\n\n\n(2) Registration required – NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay!  \n\n\n\n    \n\n\n\n(3) Weather dependent – Please check your email 12 hours before the program date and time to confirm it has not been cancelled due to inclement weather such as high winds\, heavy rain\, or extreme heat.  \n\n\n\n        \n\n\n\n(4) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time? Sign up here to be notified when the program runs in the future.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n(5) Cancellation policy – We refund cancellations due to illness to keep everyone healthy\, but the number of recent cancellations is impacting our capacity to run these programs.
