IN-PERSON PROGRAM
Feel the fibrous bark, smell the fresh, forest-y aroma, and come join Ali and Bella Casey from Red Cedar Woman Studio for an afternoon of sharing and cedar weaving. You will learn the importance of cedar in Coast Salish culture, how the bark is traditionally harvested and prepared, and how to weave a small basket that you can take home with you!

The land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh), and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
