Add your name to the waitlist to be contacted if spots open up: https://forms.gle/iJQtfxm1oAiMJYfq7   \n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM \n\n\n\nAs sunset falls over the waters and trees of Beaver Lake\, the beavers emerge from their lodge and begin their nightly duties\, and bats take to the sky to hunt insects nearby as they prepare for hibernation or migration. Come along on this walk at dusk to learn about the animals that may emerge in the evening around the wetland habitat — and see the beaver lodge! We’ll discover the routines of busy beavers\, the habits of bats and frogs\, and keep our eyes and ears open for what we might encounter around the Beaver Lake ecosystem!  \n\n\n\nWe will end the program at Beaver Lake at 7:30 pm\, and those heading back to the bus loop can join the guide to walk back after the program ends. \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS  \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program will move at a gentle/moderate pace with minimal inclines on some uneven surfaces\, on sidewalks and gravel paths. The route is downhill to the entrance of Beaver Lake. At Beaver Lake\, it is a mostly flat path\, though there is a ~5cm ridge at the culvert on the north side of the lake\, which may not be navigable in a mobility device. The program will end at Beaver Lake. If you have any questions or input about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca           \n\n\n\nThis program will meet next to the Railway Parking Lot and the #19 bus loop (see exact location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wk3QnAkxjU1JT12C9). Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in.  \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy  – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
