Or maybe you’ve spotted a big bumblebee and thought\, “that’s the largest bee I’ve ever seen!” Join us to learn all about the fascinating and diverse world of bumblebees and bee-yond! With over 150 species of native bee in our region\, there’s a lot to appreciate\, and we’ll even get up-close with a few bee specimens to really see what the native pollinators are all about. \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes:  This program will take place on some uneven surfaces on mostly gravel pathways. It is unlikely that we will be interacting with bees to the point where there is risk of stinging\, but if you have a bee sting allergy please exercise caution. If you have any questions or input about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca           \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (underneath the viewing platform at Chilco and Alberni St) and proceed around Lost Lagoon Loop either towards Ceperley Meadow or towards the Rose Garden\, depending on the flowers!  \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled\, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.   \n\n\n\n(4) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time?   Sign up here to be notified when the program runs in the future. We also have a monthly events newsletter that you can subscribe to here. \n\n\n\nThe land on which we gather is the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm)\, Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh)\, and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
