IN-PERSON PROGRAM

As the Vancouver Bird Celebration comes to an end, let’s stretch our late spring wings on this excursion! Discover the incredible variety and lives of local birds in our monthly birding program, Birds of a Feather. This month, join a local birder for a relaxed interpretive outing and learn to identify and appreciate seasonal bird species. No experience required, just bring your curiosity and take flight!

ABOUT THE GREATER VANCOUVER BIRD CELEBRATION

Get more familiar with the birds around us during the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! Organized by a collection of non-profits, artists, and other institutions, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver. Events are open to all and most are free, with programs including bird-related workshops, walks, talks, exhibitions, and lectures. Check out all the events here: https://vancouverbirdcelebration.ca/

We gratefully acknowledge that the land on which we gather and help steward is the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Since time immemorial, Coast Salish peoples have lived reciprocally with the land, harvesting and cultivating foods and medicines and practicing ceremony. The abundance of these lands and waters, which enables us to live, work, and play here today, is a result of the past and on-going stewardship and advocacy of the Coast Salish peoples.
