SUMMARY:Birds of a Feather: Avian April (In-person)
DESCRIPTION:Get Tickets\n Problems using the ticket form below? You can also get tickets here. \n SPES uses the Zeffy platform to process payments\, so your entire purchase goes to us. If you’d like to help Zeffy keep running its services\, you can choose to tip them. If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nThe wind beneath our wings is feeling warmer with each passing month! Though every season is great for birdwatching\, many folks flock to Stanley Park to see the fluttering wings of spring. Come spend a weekend morning with us for our monthly birdwatching program\, Birds of a Feather. This month\, Kris Cu (Birds Canada) leads us on a relaxed\, interpretive walk to spot all sorts of bird species. All levels of experience and bird knowledge are welcome here – just bring your curiosity and we’ll be ready for take off!  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located underneath the Lost Lagoon viewing platform near the intersection of Alberni and Chilco Streets).  Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the program.       \n\n\n\n      \n\n\n\n Masks are mandatory for indoor programs and highly suggested for outdoor programs.  \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n*By purchasing a ticket\, you are confirming you have read\, understood\, and agree to follow all COVID-19 protocols found here. \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n**All participants must pre-register for this program – NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay!       \n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n***This program is weather dependent.  Please check your email 12 hours before the program date/time to confirm it has not been cancelled due to inclement weather such as high winds\, heavy rain or extreme heat.         \n\n\n\n       \n\n\n\n****Program full or you can’t attend this day/time?  Sign up here to be notified if this program runs again in the future!         \n\n\n\n       \n\n\n\n*****Cancellation policy – We are accommodating refunds for cancellations due to illness to keep everyone healthy\, but the number of recent cancellations is impacting our capacity to run these programs. If you must cancel\, please let us know if you need a refund or if you are able to help us offer affordable programs for the public (we will continue to seek ways of subsidizing programs in this changing economic climate as well!)         \n\n\n\n       \n\n\n\nWe gratefully acknowledge that the land on which we gather and help steward is the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam)\, Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation\, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Since time immemorial\, Coast Salish peoples have lived reciprocally with the land\, harvesting and cultivating foods and medicines and practicing ceremony. The abundance of these lands and waters\, which enables us to live\, work\, and play here today\, is a result of the past and on-going stewardship and advocacy of the Coast Salish peoples.
