Please put your information in our waitlist in case a spot opens up: https://forms.gle/PdBJghF9yZQ15HTA6 \n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nJoin us for Birds and Brews: a guided bird walk around Lost Lagoon and the Heron Colony. In May\, the herons typically spend a lot of time coming and going from the nests to care for their young\, and should be quite active around the lagoon and nests. The walk will end with an early lunch at the picnic tables near the heron colony. Tickets include a limited edition beer collaboration from Stanley Park Brewing that supports Stanley Park Ecology Society’s ongoing conservation and monitoring efforts of the Heron Colony. This event is part of the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration!   \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nABOUT THE GREATER VANCOUVER BIRD CELEBRATION  \n\n\n\nGet more familiar with the birds around us during the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! Organized by a collection of non-profits\, artists\, and other institutions\, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver. Events are open to all and most are free\, with programs including bird-related workshops\, walks\, talks\, exhibitions\, and lectures. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca        \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (below the viewing platform on the corner of Chilco and Alberni) and end at Stanley Park Brewing. Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in.   (1) (2) (3) (4)    \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions  \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay!         \n\n\n\n(2) Weather dependent - Please check your email 12 hours before the program date and time to confirm it has not been cancelled due to inclement weather such as high winds\, heavy rain\, or extreme heat.      \n\n\n\n(3) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time?   Sign up here to be notified when the program runs in the future.          \n\n\n\n(4) Cancellation policy – We refund cancellations due to illness to keep everyone healthy\, but the number of recent cancellations is impacting our capacity to run these programs. If you must cancel\, please let us know if you need a refund or if you are able to help us offer affordable programs for the public by donating your registration fee.
