If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\nIN-PERSON PROGRAM  \n\n\n\nJoin us for a walk to the heron colony\, where we’ll learn all about the herons who nest in what we call “Stanley Park” and get updates about the rookery so far this season. In May\, the herons typically spend a lot of time coming and going from the nests to care for their young\, and should be quite active as we venture around Lost Lagoon and to their nests. The walk will end with a drink at Stanley Park Brewing for lunchtime. Tickets include one can* of a limited edition beer collaboration from Stanley Park Brewing that supports Stanley Park Ecology’s ongoing conservation and monitoring efforts of the heron colony. This event is part of the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! \n\n\n\nABOUT THE GREATER VANCOUVER BIRD CELEBRATION  \n\n\n\nGet more familiar with the birds around us during the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! Organized by a collection of non-profits\, artists\, and other institutions\, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver. Events are open to all and most are free\, with programs including bird-related workshops\, walks\, talks\, exhibitions\, and lectures. Check out all the events here: https://vancouverbirdcelebration.ca/   \n\n\n\nPROGRAM DETAILS   \n\n\n\n*Participants can choose to have a non-alcoholic beverage instead\, let us know by answering the question in the ticket form. \n\n\n\n*Ticket does not cover additional food and drink purchases\, but folks are welcome to stay and have lunch with the group reservation at Stanley Park Brewing past 1:30pm. \n\n\n\nAccessibility notes: This program requires moving at a moderate pace with moderate inclines on some uneven surfaces (such as gravel and pavement) on the way to the heron colony. Once there\, we will not move around much. If you have any questions about accessibility\, please email publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca        \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (below the viewing platform on the corner of Chilco and Alberni) and end at Stanley Park Brewing Company. Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in.    \n\n\n\nTerms and Conditions \n\n\n\n(1) Registration required - NO DROP-INS ARE ALLOWED.  Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – reduced fees are available for those with financial barriers.  \n\n\n\n(2)  Cancellation policy  – We offer partial refunds for program fees up to 7 days before the program. A 20% administration fee applies. Cancellations with less than the required notice are non-refundable. We do not refund fees for late or missed programs. Please request a refund by emailing publiced@stanleyparkecology.ca. You may also choose to support our public education programming by donating your registration fee.  \n\n\n\n(3) Weather – Our tours typically run rain or shine. Rarely\, programs may be postponed or cancelled due extreme weather like high winds or extreme heat.  We will alert you by email if the program needs to be rescheduled. If the program cannot be rescheduled\, refunds will be offered with a 20% administration fee or you may choose to transfer your ticket to another program of the same value.   \n\n\n\n(4) Program Availability – Program full or you cannot attend this day or time?   Sign up here to be notified when the program runs in the future. We also have a monthly events newsletter that you can subscribe to here. \n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\nThe land on which we gather is the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm)\, Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh)\, and Tsleil-Waututh (səlilwətaɬ) Peoples. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
