Through photographs from the past 10 years on his trips to Taiwan\, Nature House educator Frank Lin presents some of the spectacular bird life found in Taiwan\, including many of the migratory\, resident and endemic species found on the island and how they compare to what we see here in Vancouver — such as learning the difference between a grey heron and a great blue heron! This event is part of the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! \n\n\n\nABOUT THE GREATER VANCOUVER BIRD CELEBRATION  \n\n\n\nGet more familiar with the birds around us during the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration! Organized by a collection of non-profits\, artists\, and other institutions\, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver. Events are open to all and most are free\, with programs including bird-related workshops\, walks\, talks\, exhibitions\, and lectures. Their stewardship and respect for this land has carried forward for thousands of years long before settlers named it “Stanley Park”.
