If you don’t want to\, choose “Other” in the drop-down menu and then enter $0. \n\n\n\n  \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn-person Program \n\n\n\nLed by biologist Catherine Jardine\, this walk will introduce you to the birds found at Queen Elizabeth Park\, territory of the səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ\, Skwxwú7mesh-ulh\, S’ólh\, and šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ Peoples. See birds like Anna’s hummingbirds\, northern flickers\, and red-breasted nuthatches while meeting new people and sharing in the outdoors. \n\n\n\nThis program will meet at the Duck Pond. Click here to view the exact location on Google Maps. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the program. \n\n\n\nBirding with Me is a part of the Vancouver Bird Celebration and organized collaboratively by Stanley Park Ecology Society and various partners from the Pacific Birds Habitat Joint Venture\, including the Canadian Wildlife Service and Birds Canada. \n\n\n\nCheck out other free programs happening during the Vancouver Bird Celebration from May 13 to May 31 to get excited about birds! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout your Bird Guide \n\n\n\nCatherine is the Associate Director for Data Science and Technology at Birds Canada. Her work is focused on supporting hundreds of research and monitoring projects investigating the ecology\, distribution and population dynamics of all bird species through two main platforms; NatureCounts (naturecounts.ca) and the Motus Wildlife Tracking System (motus.org). Catherine also loves leaving her desk! She started guiding as a means to connect with the wildlife\, habitats and people that fuel her passion for conservation. She loves to discuss amazing adaptations found in the natural world\, conservation issues facing us all and solutions we can contribute to. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout “Birding with Me” Series \n\n\n\nCome Birding with Me and learn about our local birds on free\, guided bird walks that celebrate diversity in bird and human communities.
