Bird Week Opening Take-Off

To launch Bird Week, SPES will be hosting a Take-Off event centered around the Nature House on Lost Lagoon. This will include a variety of family friendly activities such as crafts, an Instagram-worthy photo wall and various bird themed activities.

Photography Workshop

For beginner to intermediate birders – capture the charm of warblers or the majesty of eagles on this bird photography workshop. Whether you are a bird lover who has just picked up a camera or an avid photographer looking to work with a new subject, develop your craft with an experienced guide and photographer. Bring your camera of choice.

Hipster Bird Walk

Calling all closet birders and the nature-curious to join Dawn of the Hipster Birdwatcher, a laid-back nature walk around Lost Lagoon, hosted by EyeLoveBirds.

While we will be providing tips on identification and interesting facts about our local species along the way, mostly we want to offer a casual, social and fun get together, with a cold beer to get you started.
Non-hipsters are welcome, too.
