What if your child could spend their summer discovering sea stars along the shore, listening for frogs in wetland habitats, searching for slugs beneath fallen logs, and spotting great blue herons along the seawall?
If you’re looking for a summer nature camp in Vancouver, EcoCamp offers children ages 7–11 the opportunity to explore the incredible natural spaces of Stanley Park while making friends, playing games, creating nature-inspired art, and learning about the wildlife that calls Vancouver home. EcoCamp days run from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

A Summer of Adventure in Stanley Park
Every day at EcoCamp is different. One day campers might be investigating the creatures living in the intertidal zone, while the next they could be searching for signs of wildlife along forest trails or creating artwork inspired by their discoveries.
Campers explore beaches, forests, wetlands, and gardens as they learn about local ecosystems through hands-on activities, outdoor games, and guided adventures led by experienced environmental educators.
Along the way, they may encounter fascinating wildlife such as herons, bald eagles, crabs, sea stars, frogs, slugs, and many other animals that live in Stanley Park.
Learning Through Nature Exploration
Children are naturally curious. Our summer nature camps encourage that curiosity by giving campers opportunities to ask questions, make observations, and learn through direct experiences in nature.
Rather than sitting indoors, campers are actively exploring the outdoors, building observation skills, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence while developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

More Than Just Nature Education
Our summer nature camps are also about building friendships, gaining independence, and creating lasting memories.
Through team challenges, games, and shared discoveries, campers connect with peers who love being outdoors. Many leave camp with new friendships, favourite wildlife sightings, and stories they’ll be talking about long after summer ends.
What Families Are Saying
“I truly wanted to express my gratitude towards you and all the staff/volunteers who made [my children’s] time with you so memorable and fun. They always love being in the park that we’re so fortunate to live by and play in, but both shared that they really enjoyed interacting and spending time with all the staff and volunteers. I as a mom was grateful to know that they were spending their days in a camp that valued their safety, well-being, and individuality and so fostering of learning and having fun in an amazing environment. Thank you all.” – Summer 2025 EcoCamp Parent
“[My child] entered camp with a lot of passion for nature and really enjoyed her time there. She says that she enjoyed learning that coyotes will eat bugs if they need to.” – Spring 2026 EcoCamp Parent
