Role Description
Are you looking for a way to show your support for Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) while attending Vancouver’s biggest comedy event? Join us at the Vancouver Great Outdoors Comedy Festival to support SPES with our 50/50 raffle ticket sales!
Duties
Throughout the event, volunteers will:
- Before the show: Walk along the entrance line-ups displaying paddles with 50/50 raffle details and QR codes, encouraging attendees to purchase tickets.
- During the show: Enjoy the show!
- During intermissions: Position yourself around the venue during intervals to encourage ticket sales.
Time Commitment
We are looking for volunteers to commit to the full duration of at least one event evening.
Friday, September 13th: 5pm – 9pm
Saturday, September 14th: 4pm – 9pm
Sunday, September 15th: 4pm – 9pm
Location
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival will be held at the Brockton Cricket Fields, Stanley Park.
Training
Brief training session provided before the event to familiarize volunteers with their roles and responsibilities. You will also receive a wristband to show that you are part of the SPES/event team.
Requirements
- Be 19 years of age or older with Government-issued photo identification (19+ event);
- Friendly and outgoing personality;
- Comfortable handling cash transactions and using QR codes;
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
