Think globally while acting locally through our Earth Day celebration at Stanley Park…and enjoy some “earth cookies” on us!
Join us any time on Saturday, April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a day of hands-on ecology: Try your hand at weaving invasive plants into bracelets and baskets; plant some native plants in Stanley Park; or help us dig out an infestation of blackberry. Kids can make their own ‘bird bauble’ (to supply nesting materials for birds), or decorate the plaza with chalk drawing.
Wander among our exhibitors’ tables while munching your free earth cookie and sipping complimentary Ethical Bean coffee. We are excited to be joined this year by Patagonia, Stanley Park Brewing and the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver, along with MLA Spencer Chandra Herbert and Park Board Commissioners.
Festivities kick off at the roof deck of the Nature House, 11:00 a.m.! Rain or shine!
