Here’s something you don’t see every day.
At about 8:45a.m., tweets and tip emails started coming in about a deer spotted in downtown Vancouver.
Its been spotted around Granville, initially at Howe and Nelson streets, and has now moved on to the Granville strip.
It’s not clear what the deer is doing — possibly looking to party.
The deer, bored of Granville, then moved towards Yaletown, then English Bay.
A spokeswoman from the Ministry of Environment said that there is not much Urban Wildlife Control or BC Conservation can do, as using a dart on the deer may kill it.
The Ministry of Environment is stressing for people to give the deer space and let it make its own way out of the downtown area.
The Vancouver Police Department is also urging people to avoid approaching it, in order to give it space.
@karilyntwidale We’ve had several reported deer sightings downtown. BC Conservation is aware. Pls give the deer space
