We’re celebrating our 25th birthday year by organizing and running the Stanley Park BioBlitz on August 24-25, and with your help we want to identify as many living creatures as possible. This BioBlitz is SPES’ main contribution to the City of Vancouver’s 125th anniversary celebration of Stanley Park, Celebrate! Stanley Park that takes place at the same time.
There’ll be many opportunities to become engaged with biodiversity at this event, through surveying local wildlife, taking part in hands-on stewardship activities and learning about everything from forest ecology to local birds, and bats to beavers at educational walks and talks.
It doesn’t cost you anything to participate in the BioBlitz and you don’t need to register, just show up but do arrive early for events as it is first come, first serve.
