Imagine a world with no fruits, vegetables, or plants. Without insect friends like bees and butterflies, our world would be completely different. These insect superheroes ensure that flowers get pollinated, which is how plants create food for themselves and to share, and that fruit also creates seeds to grow new plants. We can basically thank these amazing creatures for our survival.
Explore the amazing life of pollinators on an easy hike through Stanley Park this Sunday, May 12 from 1:30-3:30pm. Meet at the Stanley Park Nature House on Lost Lagoon (under the viewing plaza at the north end of Alberni Street). For more information on upcoming events visit www.stanleyparkecology.ca/events
