SPES members ride the Ghost Train for free tonight

Don’t let the thoughts of the passing of summer and the shorter days bog you down, the Stanley Park Ghost Train is opening this week! Running in parallel with the Ghost Train by the Miniature Railway is SPES’ popular Creatures of the Night walks. This is an entertaining and educational adventure for explorers of all ages. From the miniature train plaza, follow your SPES guides through the forest on a 30 minute candlelit walk to meet some of Stanley Park’s elusive animals.

While the Ghost Train and Creatures of the Night have their Grand Opening Night tomorrow night, SPES members with a current membership card are treated to a special VIP night tonight and can ride for free.

More than 45 SPES volunteers of all ages have prepared their costumes, lanterns and lines for tonight over the past months and are eager to introduce Vancouverites to some of the Park’s elusive animals that wake up when most of us go to bed, including owls, northern flying squirrels and bats.

To ride the Ghost Train for free tonight, bring your SPES membership card or call us on 604-718-6523 to renew your membership.
