On Saturday, May 26, 2012, 111 Telus employees helped Stanley Park Ecology Society’ stewardship team remove invasive English Ivy during Telus’ Day of Service; an annual event where Telus employees volunteer in communities around Canada.
This large team of volunteers contributed 333 hours of hands on stewardship work, removing 108m3 of ivy from a 60m2 area on the west side of the Park. The work of these volunteers, along with a generous donation from Telus, supports SPES’s ongoing Stewardship Programs and helps maintain the ecological health of Stanley Park’s forest.
