Heron Chicks Have Arrived at the Colony

The heron colony in Stanley Park is ready to explode with activity as heron chicks began hatching last weekend. The colony, which is monitored by SPES staff and volunteers from a nearby rooftop and from the ground below, was found to have 84 of a total of 107 nests occupied in 19 trees.
