What are the hours/rates of the Nature House?

Our Spring Hours (April to June) :
Saturday & Sunday: 9:30am - 4:30pm

Our Summer Hours (Canada Day to Labour Day) :
Tuesday - Sunday: 9.30am - 4.30pm

Our Fall Hours (Labour Day to November):
Saturday & Sunday 9:30am - 4:30pm

Winter Hours (December-March):
Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 4pm

What is at the Stanley Park Nature House?
The Nature House provides visitors nature interpretation and park information.  It has interactive displays and activities.  It sells some nature merchandise and plants.

What is the history of the Stanley Park Nature House?
Lost Lagoon was a storage place for the Parks Board.  The buildings had been used to rent boats and canoes from the 1920-1972.  Today the Nature house is operated by the Stanley Park Ecology Society and the Vancouver Parks Board.

When did the Stanley Park Nature House open?
1992

Who funds the Stanley Park Nature House?
The Nature House is run by SPES, and supported by the Vancouver Parks Board

Who made the Stanley Park Nature House furniture?
The "Brocks" - a couple from Princeton with a company called West View Furniture Design.

Are there nature programs run out of the Stanley Park Nature House?
Sunday Discovery Walks - Please refer to the Events Calendar for time and topic. $5 members, seniors and children, $10 for non-members
Young Naturalist Club of Stanley Park: First Saturday of the month, 10 am to noon. Please call Public Programs Manager at 604-718-6522 for more information
The Birds of Stanley Park: Last Sunday of the month. Leaves Nature House at 9 am. Admission by donation.

If someone paying for a Sunday Discovery Walk, presented you with a Hostelling International Membership card what would you charge them?
Anyone who presents a valid Hostelling International Membership card gets a 50% discount on Discovery walks and the Saturday Nature Story & craft

Are the brochures for sale?
They are free except when marked.
