Stanley Park Eco Stewards Volunteer Event – Upcycling Invasives with Sharon Kallis

October 25, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

| Free

Join artist Sharon Kallis and SPES’ Stewardship Team in a creative and unique habitat restoration initiative.

In a previous event participants used harvested Himalayan Blackberry to create wattle fences for the purpose of restoration of North Creek.

This second part of the project will involve installing the bio-netting created from invasive English ivy. We will also be planting native species on the stabilised banks.

For more information about this project, read about Stanley Park’s environmental art projects or check out Sharon Kallis’ website.

The event runs from 10:00 – 15:30.  (Note: this is longer than normal Eco-Steward events. Please bring a packed lunch and water.)

Volunteer spaces are limited. Please Register.
