(Alternative working title: Ecosystem Restoration in Stanley Park)
NOTE: This walk was rescheduled from November 18 due to a scheduling conflict.
Join a guided walk to visit ecological enhancement projects taken on by the Stanley Park Ecology Society, and explore the challenges and success stories behind environmental restoration.
Stanley Park’s unique history and location place it in the midst of various pressures that keep our conservation team up at night—from invasive plants and polluted road runoff to rapidly shrinking lakes. Learn how we have been responding to environmental impacts to help this urban park’s ecosystems recover and glimpse the results of our efforts up close.
All levels of conservation science knowledge are welcome, but we recommend that ages 16+ attend this program.
