[POSTPONED] Owl Prowl

January 31 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Photo: Mark White

DISCOVERY WALK

NOTE: Due to the high chance of precipitation forecasted for this evening, we have decided to postpone this program. We will announce the new date, but you may also consider signing up for the Feb 7 Owl Prowl, which may have a few spots still open.

The Owl Prowl is one of the few programs we offer that are actually weather-dependent. Rain will make it difficult to operate sound equipment and hear the owls in return. Owls also have little waterproofing in their soft feathers, and therefore have difficulty navigating in bad weather, making it less likely we will see any.

A wintertime evening in the woods becomes an earthy soundscape with the calls of courting owls. Experience the breeding season activity and vocalizations of Stanley Park’s owls on this popular nighttime walk. Pack your flashlights!

For ages 7+. Meet us at our office in the Stanley Park Dining Pavilion.
