Join the Stanley Park Ecology Society and environmental artist Sharon Kallis for this special two-day invasive plant upcycling workshop in Stanley Park! Volunteer participants will learn to build fences made from invasive plant materials that will help to stabilize sensitive habitat along North Creek.
Fence Build Workshop Pt. 1: Friday, August 18th from 5:30 – 8:30 pm
During this Friday evening session participants will learn to make ivy rope, and begin material preparations for the fence installation. Meeting location will be at the Stanley Park Dining Pavilion.
Fence Build Workshop Pt. 2: Saturday, August 19th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
During this session participants will install fencing structures along the North Creek Trail. Meeting location is TBD.
Interested participants are encouraged to attend both the Friday evening and Saturday workshops, but are not required to. Please use the form below to register, and please indicate whether you would like to attend one or both sessions. Spaces are limited!
