VOLUNTEERING

Natural habitats in Stanley Park are being impacted by invasive species. Join us in the Park this week to enhance Vancouver’s largest urban forest by removing invasive species such as English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and yellow flag iris! By participating in this program, you will learn firsthand about the threat invasive species pose to our native ecosystems, make an important contribution to conservation and restoration in Stanley Park, and work with a great group of likeminded volunteers in a beautiful outdoor setting.

A reminder email with detailed information about the day’s activity will be sent to registered volunteers a few days before the event. Volunteers should arrive dressed for the weather with sturdy shoes, and be prepared to work on uneven terrain.

Drop-ins are welcome 15 minutes early at this event, but pre-registration is encouraged, especially for new volunteers. To register or for more information, please contact the Stewardship Coordinator at 604-718-6547, stewardship@stanleyparkecology.ca, or use the form below.
