WEBINAR

Float over to this webinar to learn about one of Stanley Park’s most charismatic creatures – the beaver!  During this program, you will find out the beaver basics like what they eat, the many reasons they chomp on trees, and the difference between lodges and dams.  We’ll also talk about the beavers that live in Stanley Park, including how many live there, when they arrived, and how they help keep their namesake Beaver Lake healthy!

*Tickets must be purchased in advance. Fees for this program are based on a sliding scale – you choose what you pay!  Your contributions help us bring you more online programs like this one!

**This program will take place on Zoom, so please make sure you have Zoom downloaded well in advance of the webinar.  A Zoom link can be found within your confirmation email, and will also be sent out one hour before the start of the program. Only one ticket required per household.

***If this event fills to capacity, members of Stanley Park Ecology Society will be given first priority to any tickets that open up due to cancellations.

We gratefully acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Since time immemorial, Coast Salish people have walked this land and walked with it in a good way, harvesting foods and medicines and made good ceremony here. The abundance that these lands and waters provide us to live, work and play is due to the reciprocal relationships by which Coast Salish people lived and live today.
