Bat Walk at IOC 2018! VIBF

August 22 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

| Free

Have you ever wanted to see and hear bats firsthand? Join Wildlife Acoustics on a bat walk. Wildlife Acoustics will bringing several Echo Meter Touch 2 modules you can use with your smartphone or tablet*. Echo Meter Touch 2 allows you to detect and even hear the ultrasonic calls of bats. Plus, you’ll see a visual representation of their calls and their most likely species matches on your smart device. A guide will lead you around Lost Lagoon areas likely to have bats.

Sign up on the SPES website and download the free Echo Meter Touch app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. If you are traveling from outside Canada, we highly recommend doing this before you arrive in Vancouver as international data rates may apply.

Don’t have a compatible device? We will bring some extras for you to borrow.

Spots are limited, sign up now!

What to bring: Flashlights or headlamps, Echo Meter Touch app & compatible smart device.

Meet on the roof of the Nature House.

*Check your device for compatibility with the Echo Meter Touch 2
