Megan ManesJune 10th, 2020
Megan joined SPES in February 2020. She has a BSc in Biology and a MSc in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Iowa State University. She recently moved to Vancouver from Maryland, USA where she was lead naturalist at a state park, as well as a biology college professor. Megan has many years of experience working with birds of prey and reptiles: through her Master’s research of the reproductive strategies of garter snakes in California, and in her work as a naturalist with non-releasable reptiles and birds of prey – both educational ambassadors for conservation of native wildlife. Megan is excited to bring her passion for environmental education to SPES. In her spare time, she likes reading, learning new languages, and exploring all the beautiful nature and wildlife B.C. has to offer!
